Yoga

YOGA INspired by THE TRADITION OF KRISHNAMACHARYA

Yoga in its basic meaning is a union of body, mind and spirit.

In this tradition yoga practice supports our unique needs, and helps us reflect and understand where we are, and how we can transform. Yoga is different for different people at different times. It adapts to the individual rather than individual needing to adapt to some preset form. The essence of yoga, as it is taught in this tradition, is to support this individualized practice.

This is how yoga was taught by Krishnamacharya, a master and sage in Yoga, who inspired many today’s acclaimed yoga teachers. His son, TKV Desikachar with his family continues the tradition with other long term students, and Ekagrata is deeply inspired by it as well.

YOGA classes in ekagrata

Stressed and tired?

Can’t sleep? Tight back, neck and shoulders?

Worries show themselves on our body, and we tend to carry them around one way or the other. Yoga is an age old approach to treat the body and mind through calming breath and mindful movement. In accordance of this tradition, the breath guides the practice and is primary to movement. This is experienced as deeper self awareness, and focus.

I welcome you to experience yoga in a supportive and relaxing setting.  No prior yoga experience is necessary. We will gently weave the yoga postures (asanas) and breath work (pranayama) to all ability levels to stretch, relax and strengthen the body and tranquil the mind.

6-week session of group classes is $75.00. Space is limited.  Pre-registration required.

Initial private yoga session is $100.00 (1.5hrs), and consecutive sessions (min.2) are $75.00 (1hr).
